Waterfall on old Nuuanu Pali Road, Honolulu #119 p 15
After end of World War II Jack and john Barrett frequenmtly drove here weekends and summer and sometimes brought friends from Thomas Jefferson School.fifth grade teacher Agnes Dee Davidson had lived in Arizona and subscribed to "Arizona highways" photography-travel magazine. She helped plan Barretts' l947 travel in western US national parks. She and Thomas Jefferson students were interested in Hawaii volcanos, natural history, and scenery. Hawaii took great pride in abundant pure water resources.Chlorination of drinking water began during the war, but non-chlorinated water for goldfish tanks was available at a special ourlet near Likelike Street and Iolani Palace, Honolulu.
